What a wild few weeks! SpaceCraft is gaining so much momentum, and we can’t wait to share our plans for 2025. Between the joyful chaos, I want to remind you all to find play and rest. Listen to your body and do what serves you best.

Yes, I want nothing more than to build SpaceCraft 24/7, but there are some days where I need to simply dance and enjoy the sunshine. I hope you all discover what this balance looks like for yourself because that’s where your creative self-actualization lies.

We’re nearing Election Day! Make it a fun day and vote with your friends 😊 

Last week, my dear friends and I early voted at a nearby church in East Knoxville. We were greeted by dozens of older black men and women eager to educate us on the voting process. It was wonderful to be met with so many smiles and excitement!

After placing our votes, we did a little dance to celebrate casting our ballots for Kamala Harris and Gloria Johnson. We followed up with a lovely breakfast at First Watch and enjoyed the remainder of our slow Saturday.

Voting doesn’t have to be an isolating and stressful experience. I highly encourage you all to add joy and levity when casting your ballot because your vote is important.

Blending comedy and drama, in this solo show Chris dives into the deeper meaning behind pizza, happiness, and what happens when the planet explodes. This one-hour performance will be recorded live (like your favorite stand-up sets) - this is your opportunity to see how the magic gets made! 

Doors & live music at 7:30 for an 8:00 start.

Last night, we hosted a Spookeasy Film Screening of “Interview with a Vampire”. We invited folks to come dressed up in their spookiest (or silliest) costumes. While the mocktails were flowing and the candy was being devoured, we enjoyed watching a 90s horror classic.

I recently watched the remake tv show and was eager to make comparisons. And, the biggest realization I had was that the 90s version was SO GAY CODED! There were several moments, where we all screamed, “just kiss already!” lmao

It’s a gentle reminder of how far we’ve come with queer liberation rights and representation because the remake version y’all does not shy away from two men being immortal lovers. We ended the night gathered around a smores slow-cooker chatting about the not-so-subtleties and plot holes of the movie before calling it a night.

Overall, the party was a smashing hit and I look forward to hosting more creative social events at SpaceCraft.
