Too broke to attend the “Large Hearing Organs Festival”? (Teehee) Kick it at Space65!

SpaceCraft’s constellation is stacked with great talent, and Space65 is the spot for curious locals eager to experience the scruffy, grassroots, underground, scrappy, and fresh talent Knoxville has to offer.

We’re all about making art and memories this year and are stoked to share space with you. Folks from all across SpaceCraft’s orbit are participating in Space65 to remind YOU that culture starts with the people.

And, we’re here to elevate Knoxville artists across the entire creative process from art making to final production. Space65 is open to all ages (with elder guidance for folks under 18 ofc)! You don’t want to miss the FIRST EVER Space65 to hit the streets.

Animation with Noah Arc ⚡️ Monday, 3/10 ⚡️ 6P ⚡️ $15

Join local street dancer Noah Arc for a dynamic class focused on animation dance! This unique style combines popping, waving, and robotic movements to create the illusion of stop-motion and fluid motion effects. ​All levels are welcome! Wear loose-fitting clothes and tennis shoes for maximum comfort and movement.

​Price: $15 ($13 for KCSD Club and SpaceCraft members). ​Payment accepted by instructor. If paying by cash, please bring exact amount.

Open Sesh 👟 Monday, 3/10 👟 8P 👟 Pay What You Can

​Come vibe, move, and create at our Open Sesh— an open studio hour to practice, experiment, and connect with other movement artists. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just love to groove, all styles and levels are welcome! ​Bring your body, your creativity, and let’s move together!

Artists Playground 🎨 Every Tuesday 🎨 6P 🎨 $15

You’re dismissed! Enjoy an open art-making session with other Artists in your neighborhood. ​Take a break from the stresses of daily life and get back to the child-like wonders of being an Artist. ​You’re welcome to do whatever your creative mind desires, whether that’s to rest, craft, tinker, make, or shake!

Figure Drawing ✏️ Every Wednesday ✏️ 6P ✏️ $15​​

Our open figure drawing sessions provide a dedicated space for artists of all levels to practice and refine their skills. Every Wednesday from 6-8 PM, we host undraped model sessions that offer a range of poses, from quick gestures to up to 20 minute poses. Our goal is to maintain an approachable atmosphere for new artists practicing, as well as a high quality set.

Figure Drawing II Classes ✏️ Every Saturday ✏️ 10AM

Class only available for sign up at Knoxdraw.com

​In Figure Drawing 2, you’ll jump into the challenges of foreshortening and volume. Working with live models, you'll learn how to handle complex poses and develop a stronger sense of form through light and shadow. While we'll touch on how muscles shape the surface of the figure, our focus stays on developing your eye for depth and dimension in your drawings.

​Each session builds on what you've learned, moving from basic forms to more complex figure work. Through fun and challenging exercises, you'll gain confidence in tackling those tough poses and perspectives.

​Ideal for students who have completed Figure Drawing 1 or have equivalent experience with basic proportion and gesture drawing, and whom are comfortable studying from undraped models. This course helps you take on more challenging aspects of figure drawing while developing your personal approach.

​Materials: Please obtain the materials, listed below, prior to the start of classes.

Improv Workshop - Level 2 🤣 Every Sunday 🤣 6P

Take your improv skills to the next level by diving deep into the art of character creation! In this class, you will learn how to craft bold, dynamic, and memorable characters that bring scenes to life, through interactive exercises, scene work, and playful experimentation. Whether you’re looking to enhance your stage presence, expand your acting toolkit, or simply have fun creating, this class will give you the confidence to step into anyone’s shoes—and stay there. ​Prerequisite: Level 1 Improv or equivalent experience.
