This panel discussion explores the transformative power of creative reuse, where sustainability meets innovation. Discover how artists, designers, and makers are redefining waste by turning discarded materials into meaningful works of art, functional objects, and sustainable solutions.

Through engaging examples and inspiring stories, we’ll dive into the intersection of recycling, art-making, and environmental stewardship. Fundraiser EDM Boiler Room Party

Join us on Valentine’s Day for EDM and vibes as we transform Spacecraft into Haus of Desire—a boiler room style nightclub, with entrancing visual light shows and immersive art experiences.

With a large part of our philosophy and mission centered around community, authentic experience, connection, and presence, we are super excited to host an event focused on these very values––bound by MUSIC, DANCE, and having a good fucking time with people, rather than tethered to our phones.

We believe that the IRL experience holds much more value than the digital. Bring your polaroids and film for an intimate presence. Move your body, laugh with friends, and feel the music move through your bones.

DJ DROPWISE X RIGG

Come at 8 PM for RIGG’s abstract grooves and the techno beat drop at 9 PM for DJ Dropwise. $15 pre-order l $20 at the door | Dress code: Go crazy | BYOB.

BTS shot of Jaleria at Pecha Kucha

🌪️ Haven’t we been here before? 🌪️

Pecha Kucha was an electric experience. Every month Artists, Dreamers, and Leaders are invited to share any topic that resonates to their purpose. The sole requirement was building a 20 slide presentation, each slide displayed for only 20 seconds. Talk about stakes!

My talk was called DIY or DIE: How SpaceCraft is Empowering Artists to Build Their Own Economy. After the countdown, it was showtime! I opened my presentation with the simple line, “haven’t we been here before?”.

As we entered the next slide, everyone’s phones roared with a tornado warning. A blaring noise echoed the room and after the perceived threat was neutralized, we started the presentation over, opening with the same line, “haven’t we been here before?”. We all laughed and cheered because we ACTUALLY have been here before.

It was an authentic and spontaneous moment that reverberated into the remainder of my talk. The engagement and mutual appreciation for the space was special.

By the end, I was left with appreciation—appreciation for the audience, appreciation for my dear friends, and most of all, appreciation for following my intuition. To experience such a serendipitous moment such as this affirmed the need to speak truth to power and continue advocating for Knoxville’s local arts community.
